THE CALL JOURNEY
A business number is an entry point, not a destination. JFM designs what happens behind it so a caller reaches the right person or process without needing to understand the organisation chart.
A call can begin with reception, an individual user, a queue or a simple menu. It can follow business hours, move to a mobile user, reach another site, overflow to a second team or finish in voicemail when nobody is available. The path is designed around the reason people call and the way the business is staffed.
That design sits behind normal telephone behaviour. Staff still answer and make calls in familiar ways, while the platform handles the decisions that should not depend on somebody remembering to transfer, divert or check another handset.

Extensions and business numbers can remain consistent across working locations. Reception can see a single organisation rather than a set of unrelated lines, and a caller can be routed according to role or availability rather than the physical place where a person happens to be.
Desk phones remain useful where a fixed, reliable endpoint makes sense. Cordless devices suit people moving through a workplace. Mobile or software-based endpoints can support staff away from the office. JFM selects and configures these as parts of the communications design, not as a hardware catalogue.
ROUTING / LOGIC
Business hours and public-holiday conditions select the appropriate path.
Queues, groups and overflow rules decide who can answer now.
On-call, mobile, another destination or voicemail handles the unresolved call.
A simple requirement may only need reception and voicemail. A more involved operation may use an IVR or auto attendant, queue behaviour, department rules, escalation and an on-call destination. The objective is not complexity for its own sake. It is predictable behaviour when the normal answer path is busy, closed or unavailable.
JFM treats call routing as part of the design process. The deeper Call Flow Engineering capability extends this approach where an organisation needs multi-stage decisions or custom operational logic.
